Your question
Did the contractor or engineer calculate my wall correctly?
The contractor proposes a specific wall build-up, and you have no idea whether it is warm enough. TermoFlo gives you an independent check: enter what the contractor proposes and see whether the wall passes the standard — before you pour any concrete.
Go to the wall calculatorHow it works — three steps
- 1
What you enter
The wall layers your contractor proposes and the city where you're building.
- 2
What you get
An independent thermal resistance for the wall and a "pass / fail" mark against the ДБН standard.
- 3
The decision you make
Approve the design with confidence, or ask the contractor to add insulation — with your own number in hand.
A worked example with real numbers
A 380 mm brick wall with no insulation
The contractor proposes a wall of 380 mm solid brick. The calculation gives a thermal resistance of about R = 0.7 m²·K/W — far below the standard. Now you have the argument to ask for insulation before construction begins.
