A worked example with real numbers

A 120 m² house in a moderate climate

For a single-storey house of about 120 m² with average insulation, heat loss comes out at around 9 kW. That means a 10–12 kW boiler covers the demand with a little to spare. The fuel comparison right there shows whether gas, electricity or a heat pump is cheaper for the client.
